A raid from officers on a house in Fleetwood uncovered a large cannabis farm inside the house, where they found a male along with 30 mature plants and over 100 cuttings.

Police are now making the public aware of the fire risk brought to neighbouring properties.

The property, on North Albert Street, had a warrant carried out by police yesterday, January 27, where a cannabis farm that was 'gradually being expanded' was found.

And the man found at the address is now helping police with their enquiries.

A spokesperson said: "A small cannabis farm was found by response officers yesterday whilst dealing with other matters. It contained thirty mature plants and over one hundred cuttings ready for propagation. It was clearly being gradually expanded.

"Although many people consider such matters quite trivial, the fire risks to neighbouring properties are raised due to the state of the electrics within, which we virtually always find to be the case; this farm was in fact found in a densely populated residential area on North Albert St.
