Fifth person charged with murder of Lancashire dad-of-four

A fifth person has been charged with the brutal murder of a Lancashire dad-of-four outside his own home.

Dad-of-four Sajed Coudry, 43, was found in the street in Blackburn with serious injuries after a large scale disturbance.

He was taken to hospital but died the following week. A 24-year-old man was seriously hurt in the same incident and is still recovering.

Four people have already been arrested and charged with murder and attempted murder, but yesterday Lancashire Police arrested a fifth man.

Rafaqat Ali, 38 and Fazal Ilahi, 62, both of Tenby Close, Blackburn, as well as Sadaqat Ali, 36, of Rhyl Avenue, Blackburn, were originally charged with two counts of attempted murder, along with 13-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons. Following Mr Choudry’s death they were instead charged with one count of murder and one of attempted murder.
