Family 'distraught' after five-week-old Springer Spaniel puppy stolen in Abbeystead

Police are investigating after a female Springer Spaniel puppy was stolen from an address in Abbeystead yesterday (Wednesday, November 11).
Officers believe she was taken between 1pm and 5pm, and they are now urging anyone with information to come forward.

Hide AdA spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "She is only five-weeks-old and needs to be with her mum.
"If you have any information or are aware of someone who may have recently got a puppy matching this description then please contact us.
"Her family are understandably distraught and just want their puppy home with them and her mum."
She has been described as black and white with a "full white background" and a black spot on the base of her tail.
Officers have confirmed she is microchipped.
