Eleven deny Jonjo murder case offences

Eight men have denied murdering Preston dad Jonjo Highton in a street stabbing in Deepdale in August.

Three others denied assisting an offender in connection with Jonjo’s death.

Owen Whitesmith, 19, of Glebe Close, Preston; Arron Graham, 22, of Ripon Street, Plungington; Craig Walton, 25, of Watling Street Road, Ribbleton; Stephen Walton, 24, of no fixed address; Joshua Bore, 19, of Morris Street, Ribbleton; Mihhaj Musa, 20, of Deepdale Road, Preston; Zaahid Patel, 19, of Park Avenue, Preston, and Mohammed Dal, 19, of Alice Square, Preston, entered not guilty pleas before Preston Crown Court.

Liam Tunstall, 26, of Mark Close, Penwortham; Stuart Eastham, 32, of Gisburne Road, Ribbleton and John Wilding, 36, of Everton Street, Darwen, pleaded not guilty to assisting an offender.

The men will return to Preston Crown Court for a trial expected to last several months on February 24.
