A 35-year-old woman who broke into a building and stole GHD hair straighteners and a bottle of Sex in the City perfume has been handed a six-month drug rehabilitation order.
Charmaine Card, of Duke Street, Bamber Bridge, pleaded guilty to breaking into the property in Station Road, Bamber Bridge on July 5 this year.
Chorley Magistrates’ Court heard that she had also pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a previous community order and failing to surrender to custody while on bail.
The first community order was made for an offence committed in Bamber Bridge in March, for which Card also received a conditional discharge.
She was caught in possession of the Class A drug heroin in a foil tube and 187 tablets of the Class C drug Buprenorphine.
Magistrates handed her a new community order to replace the existing order, which was revoked.
They said Card must now undergo treatment for drug dependency for six months and attend appointments with a probation officer for 12 months.
Magistrates also ordered her to pay £85 court costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
