The death of a paraplegic Kirkham man is no longer being treated as a murder.

The body of Lee Walker, 47, was found at a home in Chestnut Close, off Kirkgate, on Wednesday April 8.

Police initially treated his death as 'unexplained' and a 39-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder. She was later released under investigation.

Police now say Mr Walker's death is no longer a murder investigation.

A spokesman aid: "Following a Home Office post mortem examination and a number of other enquiries, the matter will now proceed to an inquest.

"A 39-year-old woman from Preston who was arrested on suspicion of murder and released under investigation has now been released no further action."

Mr Walker's inquest will take place at Blackpool town hall on November 12.
