The Preston Neighbourhood Policing Team Task Force made the arrests on Saturday evening following “a proactive” stop on a vehicle in the St Matthew’s area of the city.

Preston Police reported on their Facebook page yesterday: “All 3 have been arrested for Possession with Intent to supply Class A drugs and Possession of an Offensive Weapon after a search uncovered items in the vehicle.

“The driver of the vehicle does not hold a Driving Licence or Insurance and the tyres on the vehicle were in a dangerous condition.

“This vehicle and the occupants presented a danger to members of the public and it is unknown what their intentions were this evening but we are committed to keeping, you, the public, safe.
