COURT: Magistrates round-up

Here's a brief round-up of some of the cases in magistrates court this week.

Christopher Barton, 30, of Pall Mall, Chorley, admits stealing spirits worth £84, belonging to Morrisons, and must pay a £40 fine, £20 surcharge and £85 costs.

Tracy Parkinson, 43, of John Street, Coppull, was discharged for 12 months after admitting stealing four bottles of Baileys and must pay a £15 surcharge.

Andrew Ashworth, 26, of Fylde Avenue, Farington Moss, Leyland, was banned for two months after admitting failing to provide a breath test and must pay a £420 fine, £42 surcharge and £85 costs.

Kimberley Bradley, 24, of Alder Road, Ribbleton, Preston, was discharged for six months after admitting being found drunk in a highway whilst in charge of a child, but must pay a £15 surcharge.

Paul Coleman, 44, of Lincoln House, Preston, admits being drunk and disorderly and must pay a £50 fine, £20 surcharge and £85 costs.

Tomas Jarka, 27, of Herbert Street, Preston, stole a bottle of port and must pay a £140 fine, £20 surcharge and £85 costs.

Lewis Jones, 29, of Kirkham Road, Freckleton, Preston, was given a curfew after admitting stealing a haul of protein powders from a health store and must pay an £85 victim surcharge.

Christine Petho, 54, of no fixed abode, was bound over for 12 months in the sum of £100 after admitting breaching the peace in April.

Joanne Verrechia, 41, of Moor Road, Chorley, was given a rehabilitation activity after admitting assaulting a man and must pay a £85 costs.

Keith Acton, 29, of Lychgate, Preston, was banned from driving for a week and ordered to pay a £225 fine, £20 surcharge and £100 costs after admitting driving without insurance.
