Concern for missing Lancashire girl, 14, who never arrived at relative's house

A 14-year-old girl from Accrington failed to arrive at a relative's house yesterday, sparking concern for her welfare.

Police say Jessica Hesketh, 14, was last seen by a friend in Burnley Road, Accrington at about 8.30pm last night (May 5).

She had apparently left her home to visit a relative’s house, but she never arrived.

She is described as white, 5 ft 4ins tall, slim build with brown hair, half dyed red, and blue eyes.

Jessica was wearing a grey jumper, a black Moncler jacket, and black Nike trainers with a blue Nike tick at the time of her disappearance.

She has links to Blackburn and Manchester.

A police spokesperson said: "We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Jessica who hasn’t been seen since she was heading to a family member's house last night.

"We would urge her or anyone who sees her or knows where she might be to contact police."
