A PERVERT pensioner who had hundreds of obscene images of children on his computer is now behind bars.

Eric Russell Greenall, 67, was found with the vile
images depicting child abuse and animal cruelty when the police raided his home in The Grove, Chorley, last May.

Greenall pleaded guilty to 11 counts of making
indecent images of children, including three abuse images at the most serious SAP level five and possession of almost 200 images ranging from
levels one to four.

He also admitted
possession of extreme
pornography at a hearing at Preston Crown Court.

Lucy Wright, defending, said: “These are issues that have been very much in the forefront of his mind for some time. The offences to which my client has pleaded guilty are very much aggravated by the ages of these victims.”

The court heard Greenall has been in possession of indecent images since 2006.

Greenall must also sign on the sex offenders’ register and will continue to be monitored when he is released from prison.

During the raid scores more pornographic images were uncovered but after sending them for
examination it was not possible to determine the age of the people involved and no charges were brought in relation to them.

Judge Stuart Baker jailed Greenall for eight months.
