Chorley mum on school run has car seized by police for driving without licence or insurance
A mum from Chorley has had her car seized by police after she was found to be driving her children to school without a licence or insurance.
Police seized the 35-year-old's car this morning (Tuesday, April 20) after she was stopped outside Gillibrand Primary School in Grosvenor Road.
She had been dropping her children off at school when an officer pulled her over outside the school gates to check her details.
It was found that the woman had no driving licence and reportedly had no insurance for the vehicle.
Chorley Police shared a photo of the car that was seized, saying: "This morning PC Walker has seized this car on Haweswater Avenue. The driver was dropping her children off at school and a 35-year-old female has been reported for driving without a licence and insurance."
The force said anyone who is aware of uninsured drivers can report their concerns to [email protected] for investigation.
