Chorley man accused of attack in house

A man has denied an aggravated burglary at a house in Chorley.

Simon Ingham, 55, of Thornycroft Place, Chorley, appeared before Preston Crown Court where he entered a not guilty plea to entering a house on Lorne Street as a trespasser and inflicting grievous bodily harm on a man on September 30, 2019.

The court was told the parties are known to each other, but Ingham denies he was responsible.

Judge Simon Newell granted him unconditional bail and set a trial date for September 13, 2021.
