CCTV APPEAL: Elderly Preston couple conned out of home and savings

An appeal has been launched after an elderly couple in Preston were conned out of their life savings and home, say police.

The incident happened in December 2017 and police believe it may be connected to another case where a person attempted to defraud an elderly woman out of her home in London.

Police have now launched a CCTV appeal as part of their investigation and are asking for anyone who recognises the woman to get in touch.

A spokesman for the police said: "We want to speak to this woman as part of a fraud investigation which has links to Lancashire, Manchester, Cheshire and West Yorkshire.

"It relates the attempted sale of an elderly woman’s house in January and she may also have connections to an on-going investigation into a similar incident in Preston where an elderly couple were defrauded out of their home and life savings.
