A bus driver has been found not guilty of causing the death of a cyclist who collided with his bus.

Brian Davies, 50, of Blea Tarn Place, Morecambe, was driving the number 81 Stagecoach bus on North Road in Lancaster city centre when it collided with pensioner Joan Behar on March 4, 2014.

Mrs Behar, 67, from Lancaster, died from her injuries in the Royal Preston Hospital three days after the accident.

Jurors at Preston Crown Court found him not guilty of causing death by careless driving after hearing evidence from several eye witnesses and Mr Davies himself.
