A banned motorist who collided with a bus and oncoming car as he drove a car whilst unfit through drugs has admitted a string of driving offences to magistrates.

Steven John Reece, 38, of Larchwood, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, will be sentenced at Preston Crown Court on March 4.

He admitted driving while unfit through drugs, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance.

He also pleaded guilty to causing serious injury to two men from the same family - Himesh Modashia, 30, and Sanjay Modasdhia, 36, by driving dangerously.

It follows an serious collision on September 22, 2013, on Larches Lane, just after 5pm.

Firefighters had to use equipment to cut two people free from a Renault Clio which had collided with the number 89 bus.

A third person was thrown from the vehicle in the collision.

A fourth person on the bus was also hurt.

All four were taken to Royal Preston Hospital after the incident, one by air ambulance, and a second by police helicopter.

Preston Magistrates Court granted Reece conditional bail but imposed an interim disqualification.
