A burger van worker has described the moment two intruders held him up at gunpoint in his trailer.
Ian Goddard, 34, was cleaning up after a days work at the Leisure Lakes at Mere Brow, near Tarleton, when the two men forced the handle on the unit.
He says they pulled out two imitation firearms and pointed it through the top of a stable style door as they demanded his till and takings at 12.50am on Sunday June 7.
The men then tried to open the bottom half of the door but Mr Goddard tried to prevent them getting inside.
The plucky chef, from Blackpool, was repeatedly punched to the head and face by the thugs as he stood his ground and refused to hand over the till.
Mr Goddard, who works for Nationwide Catering, said: “I just panicked when I saw the guns. But I was still not going to let them get the till.
“I realised after a minute that the guns were poor imitations.
“That’s when they started hitting me.
“I screamed and shouted to attract attention.
“A few people were camping out and there was a caravan trailer close by. A man came out of the trailer and they ran away.”
He added: “I have worked at the same site since, it was strange at first, I felt edgy.
“I just want them to be caught.”
The robbers are described as being white, of medium build and they spoke with Liverpool accents.
