All are accused of two counts of possession of a class A drug with intent to supply, one of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and one of being concerned in the supply of heroin.

Knight and Hayes have been bailed by the bench.

Hiles, Dinning and Murray were remanded into custody.

The court deemed its powers insufficient to deal with such a serious case and committed the proceedings to Preston Crown Court, where all five will next appear on June 19.
