A 12-year-old boy is among seven people arrested after an alleged public order incident in Preston, believed to have stemmed from a row in the street about a £10 note.

Three other boys aged 14, 16 and 16, are being quizzed by Preston CID officers on suspicion of offences including aggravated burglary and robbery after a disturbance outside the former Alma Hotel on Fishergate Hill,

A 35-year-old woman has also been arrested.

Police were called to the scene at around 7.30pm on Monday.
