Blackburn shooting: Fifteenth person arrested in Aya Hachem murder investigation

A woman was arrested on suspicion of murdering Blackburn student Aya Hachem this afternoon (May 27).
The 33-year-old from Bolton was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder of the person police believe was the intended target.

Aya Hachem, 19, was shot in broad daylight as she was out shopping close to the Lidl supermarket on King Street in Blackburn on Sunday (May 17).
14 people were arrested in the days after her death, with five men and a woman charged.
They appeared at Preston Crown Court earlier today and were remanded into custody.

Hide AdTwo men have been bailed pending further enquiries and five people - four men and two women - were released under investigation.
One man was released without charge..
