Power operator Electricity North West has scooped a national accolade for its crack down on dangerous metal theft.

The company has trialed pioneering technology and worked with British Transport Police to reduce metal theft crime by 50 per cent.

The National Metal Theft Awards, organised by the National Metal Theft Taskforce, granted the power operator the winner of the Crime Reduction category.

Steve Cox said: “We are delighted to have won this award and would like to thank our partners and our customers across the North West.”
