In February, firefighters dealt with another suspected arson attack at the same premises which led to temporarily road closures for public safety.

Officers from Preston were called to the scene today shortly after midnight.

A car at the roadside had been deliberately set on fire and a fire engine and crew were mobilised to deal with it.

Firefighters used a hosereel jet to extinguish the fire and informed the police of the suspected arson. There were no casualties.

The blaze is thought to have been caused by fly tippers.
