Appeal over crash that left cyclist and biker in hospital

Motorists and pedestrians who may have witnessed a nasty crash on a rural road that left two people with serious injuries are being hunted by police.

A cyclist and motorcyclist were involved in a serious collision on the A683 Hornby Road between the villages of Hornby and Claughton, Lancaster.

It happened at around 2.35pm on Saturday May 30, officers said.

The 43-year-old motorcyclist was airlifted to the Royal Preston Hospital suffering from chest and head injuries.

A 46-year-old cyclist was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary with two fractured legs.

Both are in a stable condition.
