Appeal after woman grabbed by man in Preston

A woman was grabbed by a man while walking along a Preston street.

The incident happened at about 8pm on Sunday, January 4, when the 24-year-old woman was walking along Ribbleton Hall Drive.

She was close to the junction with Ribbleton Avenue when she was approached by a man who grabbed her and tried to pull her into some bushes.

She was able to break free before making her way home.

The offender is described as white, in his late teens or early twenties, about 5ft 3in tall, of medium build with dark blonde hair that is collar length and in tight curls.

He is believed to have been wearing dark clothing at the time.

DS Oliver Jemson of South CID said: “Thankfully the woman was uninjured but she has been left very shaken by the incident. An investigation to identify the man is underway and I would appeal to anyone who may have seen anything or has any information about what happened to contact us.”
