POLICE have appealed for the public’s help after a Clitheroe woman was found unconscious in a flat.

Yolande Pendlebury, aged 40, is in a critical condition at the Royal Blackburn Hospital after she was discovered in a flat in Kay Street, Darwen, on April 11.

She had last been seen by a friend an hour earlier at about 3pm on the car park at Darwen Railway Station but what happened in the next hour remains a mystery.

Police are appealing for help to try to find out how she came to be in the flat.

They want to trace a man who may have been with Yolande before the ambulance arrived. He is described as white, aged in his twenties to early thirties, 5ft 8 ins tall, medium build, with short brown hair, and wearing a blue jacket and jeans.
