A Preston man has had his nose and jaw broken after an assault with a weapon by two teenagers.

A 23-year-old Preston man has sustained a broken nose and jaw after being hit with a weapon by two teenagers.

At around 10.10pm on Wednesday, September 23, the 23-year-old victim was drinking with friends on Dorman Road when he was approached by two teenagers.

One of them has swung an object, thought to be a bat or piece of wood, at the victim’s head which has hit him. As a result he has sustained a broken jaw in two places and a broken nose.

DC Liz Johnston, from Preston CID, said: “This was a nasty, unprovoked attack which has left the victim seriously injured and we are determined to find who was responsible.

“I would urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have seen the offenders in the area at the time to contact us.”

Both men are described as white, aged 15 to 17 years, slim build, one taller than the other and are believed to be from the local area.
