Officers with Preston's Neighbourhood Police Task Force forced their way into the home off Blackpool Road yesterday evening (July 6).

The force said 250 cannabis plants were found inside the home, as well around 50kg of 'dried bud' ready for selling on Preston's streets.

The task force said: "We have again been working hard to remove yet more drugs from around the Plungington area.

"Working in collaboration with the local community, we have listened and acted on their behalf.

"An estimated 50kg of dried cannabis bud was seized, including 250 plants."

It is the latest in a series of drug busts at homes in Plungington in recent weeks.

The raids have become a regular occurrence in the area following appeals from councillors and residents who had expressed concern over drugs in the community.
