Crews tackle blaze in city street
FIRE crews were called to tackle a bed on fire in a Preston street.
Firefighters from Preston were called to Chatburn Road in Ribbleton at about 9.45pm on Monday, to reports a bed was on fire in the open, and there were youths in attendance.
Crews were able to put out the fire, but police were also called to the scene to help deal with youngsters who were “attempting to obstruct firefighters”.
Firefighters were at the scene for about 20 minutes.
