Crash leaves busy Kirkham bypass blocked in both directions

A two-car crash left a junction on the Kirkham bypass blocked this morning.

The accident happened at the junction of New Hey Lane and Bryning Lane in Newton with Scales, close to the Bell and Bottle pub, at 10.50am.

Both cars, a black Audi and white Citroen, were badly damaged.

No information on any injuries were immediately available.
