A crafty time was enjoyed by all at village hall

Visitors to a Lancashire village got more than they bargained for when Scorton hosted a summer gala with a difference.

The village hall was the venue for Summer Craft Sunday which brought together some of the region’s most talented artists and craft professionals , all showcasing their wares to the public.

The event saw the cream of art and craft talent from across the county under one roof and included craft demonstrations as well as stalls selling a wide variety of art and craft work.

Besides stall holders from across the county, the event proved an ideal market place for local artists including Salina Somalya with her flower and dragonfly metal sculptures, painter Andy Walmsley and Claire Mitchell who is also demonstrated traditional re upholstery, and local illustrator Christine Coleman from Abbeystead.

There was also a pop up vintage tea room. .
