Labour leadership contender Jeremy Corbyn is coming to Preston on Saturday as his quest for his party’s top job continues.
The Islington North MP will be at The Continental, South Meadow Lane, from 1pm to 3pm.
A message on his Facebook site said: “So far this campaign has been going from strength to strength because of the work of Labour Party and trade union members who have been helping to spread Jeremy’s message about the need for a Labour Party that stands up against austerity and puts itself at the heart of a broad social movement once again.
“This will be a great opportunity to hear Jeremy speak about the ideas he is standing for in this election and you will be able to meet other activists and find out how to get involved in the campaign”
According to some polls, Mr Corbyn is ahead in the leadership contest against Yvette Cooper, Liz Kendall and Andy Burnham.
