For their annual charity mission, the group have donated a host of goods to the ‘Hungry Campaign’ headed by The Foxton Centre.

The students take part in a community fundraiser every year with the aim of providing help to the most vulnerable in the community and across the world.

Headteacher, Moulana Yusuf Desai said: “We try to capture a sense of understanding charity and giving something back to the community, with the concept that it is absolutely central to the Muslim identity, to feel, care and have compassion for one’s fellow human beings.

“As ever, the children have done an amazing job with their donations.”

The volunteers at Foxton use the donations to cook hot food for the homeless on a weekly basis, providing to those who have no source of income and to those who have no means of cooking a meal.

Moulana Yusuf added: “Providing for the homeless is thus not just a moral responsibility, but it also fulfills the obligation of following in the footsteps of our Beloved Prophet (Peace be upon him). It also helps the children to remain humble before God.
