A Chorley swimmer-turned-weightflifter has added another string to her bow with a modelling contract.
Lucy Davis, 21, competed for England as a swimmer, but retired from the sport in 2015 after disappointing results at the British Championships in London.
She then took up weightlifting, but suffered a further disappointment when she tore the cartilage in her knee.
She said: “My knee surgery was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to overcome mentally. I couldn’t train at all for 4 or 5 months and I hated it!”
But she is now back training and has been shortlisted to become the face of nutrition supplement USN. She also has an Instagram account with 28,000 followers.
