Children wish the Queen a very happy birthday!

Alston Lane Catholic Primary School celebrated The Queen's 90th Birthday with all kinds of activities.

Alston Lane Catholic Primary School celebrating The Queen's 90th birthday.

They learned about her life and the royal family, British institutions and famous people who have lived through her reign, made crowns and bunting and wrote poetry about the Queen in her 90th year.

A street party style lunch was followed by a garden party with scones, cakes, drinks and games organised by year sixes and while the rain meant some of the festivities being held inside, the children had a great time, also dressing in red, white and blue. Headteacher Mark FitzGibbon wishes to thank parents who sent in cakes and who helped on the day.
