Children trapped in overloaded lift rescued by firefighters
A group of youths had to be rescued by firefighters after the lift they were riding in stopped working.
Five children were freed from a lift in Medway House, Samuel Street, Preston, at around 4pm by crews from Preston fire station.
A fire service spokesman said: "The lift was overloaded. There were five children inside the lift when it should only hold three people, which caused it to trip and stop working as a safety measure."
