Lancashire’s former Assistant Chief Constable joins a lawyer, an accountant and a doctor as newcomers to the Trust.

Mr White, who spent most of his career in Preston and led the police contingent in the 2012 Guild Trades Procession on horseback, is also a non-executive director of Riverside English Churches Housing Group which provides housing for people who require support. Also selected to sit on the Trust are Cheshire lawyer Michael O’Connor, chartered accountant John Townsend from Oldham and Professor Iqbal Singh who lives in Blackburn and has been a consultant physician in East Lancashire hospitals treating older people for the last 25 years.
