Three stars from BAFTA award-winning reality TV show, Made in Chelsea, will be guests of honour at a special student shopping event.
The annual Student Shop-In, hosted by St George’s Shopping Centre, will welcome favourites of the show, fashion and lifestyle blogger Binky Felstead, heir to the McVitie’s empire Jamie Laing and Eton educated Spencer Matthews.
Made in Chelsea, which follows the lavish lifestyles of affluent young people in West London’s Belgravia, Kings Road, and Knightsbridge has been a hit for E4, pulling in thousands of viewers across seven seasons.
Jamie Laing, 25, said: “This is my first trip to Lancashire but I’ve heard that we’ve got lots of fans up here so it’s a fantastic opportunity to meet some of them and thank them for their support.
“I’ve also been told that the people of Preston are exceptionally friendly and so I’m sure we’ll receive a traditional northern welcome.”
Alanna Dent, marketing manager at St George’s Shopping Centre, said: “This is such a popular event with students, and this year is expected to be bigger and better than ever before. We’ve rebranded the brand name, secured some of the most popular TV celebrities and a selection of retailers are even extending the offer to put discounts in place all week, giving students more opportunity to get savvy with their spending.”
The event, now in its seventh year, will see retailers offering special discounts and guest companies offering giveaways.
In addition to a special meet and greet, the Made in Chelsea celebrity guests will also handover £1,000 to one shopper on stage. To enter registration must be done prior to the event through the St George’s Facebook page.
