Cash aid is at hand for adult carers groups

Voluntary groups working with adult carers from across Lancashire are being invited to a special meeting to learn how they can get extra cash.

The event has been set up by Lancashire County Council’s carer’s team and will beheld at County Hall in Preston on Wednesday January 20.

Organisers are hoping that community and faith groups will use the event to find out how they can access grant ranging from £2,00 to £15,000.

The cash is coming form a fund of £130,000 which is being distributed by the county council.

Applicants will need to apply and demonstrate how their proposed activity or project will have a lasting benefit for carers in their area.

They will also have a chance to look at previous successful bids so they get an idea of the benefits.

The closing are for applications is March 1.
