Car fire in Preston sparks emergency call out
A car was destroyed in an overnight blaze in Preston, say firefighters.
Crews from Penwortham were called out following a 999 call to the incident on Clifton Street at around 2am on Friday July 20.
Crew Manager Scott Harris said: "We were called out to a vehicle on fire on the road.
"When we got to the car we found it was well alight.
"Crews used a hose reel to extinguish the fire which destroyed the front of the car.
"The cause is still under investigation."
Nobody was injured in the incident.
