Car fire on M6 causing slow traffic

Traffic is moving slowly along the M6 northbound between junction 31 A59 Preston New Road and junction 31A B624.

The incident happened at around 9am this morning and AA traffic say the average speed between the two junctions is 10mph.

A witness to the fire said: “The front end of the red car looked completely burned out but the front looked brand new.”

Lancashire Fire Service are at the scene.
