A young woman from Bamber Bridge, near Preston, will make her first appearance on a prime time dating show tonight.

Charlotte Cropper, 18, fronted a campaign to save Wesley Street Mill from demolition and now has set herself a new mission - to find a fella.

The former Cardinal Newman College student will appear on ITV’s Take Me Out.

The Saturday night show is hosted by Paddy McGuiness and the aim is to bag a date to Isle of Fernando’s.

Charlotte, who works as an insurance under writer in Manchester, spent 12 days in Kent for the filming of the show.

The programme started two weeks ago.

Charlotte was one of 1,000 people to be interviewed for the show and one of the 90 chosen to appear.
