Fino Tapas has been open for three weeks in St Wilfrid Street and is already proving popular, with tables have been filling up so much so that people turning up on a whim have had to wait out the door, according to owner Mark O’Rouke and manager Jessica Cheyne.

The restaurant is the brainchild of We Don’t Give a Fork owner Mark and follows on from his pop-up restaurant in the Ham & Jam coffee shop earlier this year.

“The staff are full of enthusiasm after opening just a few weeks ago, which is demonstrated through their service.”

Those eating at Fino might be familiar with the location with it previously being home to Culture Tapas Bar. But following a complete renovation of the building, the restaurant has gained its own Mediterranean sense of identity.

Diner Tom Earnshaw said: “This is what Preston needs; you’re only a short way from Ringway but you almost feel hundreds of miles away enjoying a meal on the Spanish coast.”

Another diner, Aasma Day, said: “The quality was good and the portion sizes were just right; nice sized bits to share. The standout dishes were the steak, mussels, and prawn.”
