International Sportswear Company, Kukri, has announced a new five-year kit deal with Welsh Athletics to become the team’s official kit supplier until 2019.
The new kit will be worn by all of the athletics athletes competing for Wales, including the Welsh School teams.
Kukri, based in Preston, will also kit out the Welsh Athletics team competing at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow later this year.
Founder and group managing director, Phil Morris said: “As a Welshman I’m extremely proud to be working in partnership with Welsh Athletics.
The team has some fantastic talent and some future medal potentials.
I’m delighted that Kukri will be the sports brand they will be wearing when they represent their country over the next five years.”

Welsh athletes will be wearing Kukri kit for the first time at this Sunday’s Welsh Athletics Indoor International with a fully bespoke kit set to be officially unveiled during May.
Formed in 1999, Kukri supplies bespoke sports kit for more than 76 sports and now partners thousands of grass-roots as well as elite teams, including Lancashire County Cricket, London Wasps,
Ulster Rugby, England Netball, Scottish Athletics, Australia Hockeyroos, and Wycombe Wanderers FC.
As well as it Preston base the firm has nine offices all over the world including Canada, Hong Kong and Australia, New Zealand and Ireland.
