LANCASHIRE residents are being stung by credit card fees, says new research from uSwitch.com, which reveals how credit card companies are luring in customers with introductory zero per cent offers.
The research reveals that on average, those in the Lancashire are charged £511 when their zero per cent credit card offer ends.
And uSwitch is calling on credit card companies to be more transparent to clearly and prominently remind customers in advance when their introductory offer is coming to end.
Tashema Jackson, money expert at uSwitch.com, said: “Credit card providers are wooing consumers with tempting zero per cent deals but when the rates rocket without warning, the honeymoon period is definitely over. We are calling on providers to give customers clearer and more prominent notice before jacking up the interest rate, to help people better manage debts.”
