Three thousand Hesketh Bank residents are benefitting from a £260,000 power investment.

Engineers from Electricity North West have spent 10 days working in an area between Moss Lane, Hesketh Lane and Station Lane to replace aging underground cables which were first installed more than 40 years ago. In total 500m of cable has been installed.

Paul McGonigle of Electricity North West said: “By replacing these cables, which have been providing power since the 1970s, customers in Hesketh Bank will enjoy a reliable power supply not just now, but for many years to come.”
