Store chain Aldi is to hold a public exhibition on Tuesday to unveil plans for a new supermarket in Longridge.

The store, on Whittingham Road, will form part of a wider development of 200 new homes approved in 2003.

The company says the branch would create up to 40 jobs and would be a multi-million pound investment in the area.

The public exhibition will be held at the town’s Royal British Legion Club in Towneley Road between 3pm and 7pm. Members of the project team will be on hand to answer residents’ questions and the plans for the new store will be on view.
