Adactus Housing Group has announced plans to build 184 new homes in Chorley.

It is part of a scheme to build more than 1,100 houses across the North West, including more than 500 in Lancashire.

The announcement comes following confirmation that Adactus has been awarded a grant of £22m from the Homes And Communities Agency’s Affordable Homes Programme for 2015-18.

Chief executive, Paul Lees, said: “Working closely with our local authority partners across the North West we are committed to building quality homes in areas of acute need.”
