A pair of new fishing ponds are to be created in a village near Preston.

The application, submitted by Graham Anthony Associates, is to create a pair of fishing and wildlife ponds on farmland off Bleasdale Road at Goosnargh.

It said the ponds would be “stocked with native coarse fish.”

It added: “ The ponds are to be used as private fisheries by the applicant and guests, due to the limited acreage of the existing agricultural site it is considered to have limited uses.”

A decision whether to approve the application will be taken by planning officers at Preston Council under delegated powers in the next three months,
