Energy Minister Matthew Hancock said the UK oil and gas industry can reap the benefits of closer collaboration with Mexico as he welcomed the Mexican president to Scotland.

Enrique Pena Nieto presided over the signing of agreements with the UK Government for greater collaboration on energy and climate change in Aberdeen on the last leg of his three-day state visit to Britain.

The Mexican leader was joined by Scottish Secretary Alistair Carmichael and Scotland’s external affairs secretary, Fiona Hyslop, for the signing of the documents in the city’s Town House.
