An online retailer based in Preston enjoyed the trip of a lifetime.

KingstonMemoryCards.co.uk is an independent, authorised re-seller of Kingston products.

The company was one of only 12 businesses that were flown to the other side of the world as part of an annual event for UK distributors, corporate resellers, integrators and retailers.

The Preston-based business visited the Kingston Technology Corporation HQ in California

The once-in-a-lifetime-trip included a tour of the factory where products are produced, a visit to Universal Studios and dinner and evening hospitality with billionaire John Tu, co-founder of Kingston Technology Corporation.

Leigh Cowell, owner of SweetCow Ltd, parent company of KingstonMemoryCards.co.uk, said: “This was a fantastic opportunity to meet key stakeholders in the business and see the products we sell being manufactured.

“I was able to see first-hand the manufacturing facility in which the products are made and see the complex process that they go through in order to get such high quality results.”

Chinese-born entrepreneur Mr Tu (also a billionaire) and his business partner David Sun launched Kingston Technology, the world’s largest independent manufacturer of memory products, from a garage in 1987.
