Two marine businesses from Lancashire will be heading to the prestigious CWM FX London Boat Show next week, hoping to make waves at the start of the New Year.

Pisces Boats and Character Boats will join 400 other companies at ExCel London from January 9-18 to offer aspiring adventurers the opportunity to explore the very best of the marine sector.

According to figures from the British Marine Federation, the leisure marine industry in the North West alone contributed up to £89.1m of the UK industry’s £2.905bn total turnover, with more than 1,415 people from the region employed in the sector.

Pisces Boats, from Bickerstaff, will be showcasing their range of quality boats at affordable prices, while Character Boats of Scarisbrick will be there to show off their traditional and classic sailing craft.

Murray Ellis, managing director of the CWM FX London Boat Show said: “We’re very excited about this year’s show. It’s the perfect event for anyone who is passionate about getting out on the water, whether that be in a canoe or on a multi-million pound yacht. We hope to kick-start the New Year by inspiring people to try something new.”
